We are thrilled to present to you an exciting package that will take you on a journey through some of the most breathtaking destinations in Northeast India. This package includes 3 nights in Gangtok, 1 night in Lachen, 1 night in Lachung, and 2 nights in Pelling. Your adventure begins in Gangtok, the charming capital of Sikkim, where you will spend 3 nights. During your stay, you can explore the vibrant local markets, take a cable car ride with a bird's eye view of the city, visit the famous Rumtek Monastery, and take a scenic drive to the picturesque Tsomgo Lake. Next, you will proceed to Lachen, a small and serene village in North Sikkim, where you will spend 1 night. You can marvel at the stunning views of the snow-capped Himalayas, visit the scenic Gurudongmar Lake, and explore the quaint village. From Lachen, you will head to Lachung, a beautiful town located in North Sikkim, where you will spend 1 night. You can take in the stunning views of the Yumthang Valley, famous for its rhododendron forests, visit the Yumthang hot springs, and witness the majestic waterfalls. Finally, your journey will end in Pelling, a small town in West Sikkim, where you will spend 2 nights. Important Information
- • Vehicle as mentioned in the booking will be provided. Extra charges will be applicable if additional vehicle or upgraded vehicle is required due to travellers carrying extra or oversized luggage.
- • Vehicle is available for use only till 8 pm ( as per itinerary); for North East India, Vehicle is available only till 4 pm (as per itinerary). Vehicle being kept till late hours will be subject to night charges as applicable and payable directly on ground.
- • While traveling to Tshangu Lake, Nathula Pass, Baba Mandir customers should carry valid photo ID proof which can ONLY be one of Driving License, Voter Card or Valid Passport.
- • NRI, OCI, PIO Card holder & Foreign Nationals are not allowed to visit Baba Mandir & Nathula Pass. They are allowed to visit till Tshangu Lake, with a valid permit. They also have to be 2 years & above is number to visit Tshangu Lake.
- • Pan Card & Aadhar Card is not accepted as ID Proof to visit Nathula Pass, Tshangu Lake and Baba Mandir. The Photo ID Proof can be anyone of the following, Driving License, Voter Card, Valid Passport.
- • Most of the 2 star and 3 star hotels provide only Mattress not Extra bed.
- • At times due to events which are beyond control (e.g. local strikes, natural calamities), schedules and itineraries may be subject to last minute changes.
- • Telephone / Internet networks are non-existent in some areas.
- • Due to poor road infrastructure in North-east, journey between 2 places may take longer than expected. Top speed may be restricted to 30 km/hr at some places.
- • NRI, OCI, PIO Card holder & Foreign Nationals will be allowed to visit Lachung, Yumthang & Yumesamdong, with a valid permit.
- • It is not advisable to visit Lachen from 1st January till 15th March as roads are closed due to snow.
- • Cars is not at disposal and will be only available for point to point transfers as per itinerary
- • Driving in hilly areas which are different from normal driving, speed limit would be 30 kms per hour.
- • Vehicles in Hill Areas – Even if you opt for AC vehicle, in hill stations AC is non-operational to avoid damage or mid-trip break down of the vehicle for your own convenience. Also, in several hill areas, commercial vehicles are not allowed to play music to prevent accidents
- • All entrance tickets to Museums , Monastries, Gardens, or any other Sightseeing spots are to be borne by the Customer and paid directly at the destination.
- • In case of road blocks, the vehicle may need to take an alternate route to get you to your destination. This will be subject to additional charges as applicable and payable directly on ground.
Frequently Asked Questions
Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft, ~43 km from Gangtok) and New Baba Mandir (13,100 ft, ~16 km further), a shrine dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh. Full-day excursion, about 7 hours.
2 passport-size photographs and a photocopy of a valid photo ID — Passport, Driving Licence, or Voter ID only (PAN Card and Aadhar Card are NOT accepted). Children under 18 need a School/College ID. Carry originals with you.
As it stands, both Day 3 (Lachen) and Day 4 (Lachung) are listed as free/leisure time after your hotel check-in, with no organized sightseeing tour on either day. If you were expecting a guided Lachen or Lachung sightseeing day, clarify this with your agent before booking.
An early-morning visit to Yumthang Valley (Valley of Flowers), known for its natural beauty and alpine flowers, with an option to also see the nearby hot springs. You then return to Lachung for breakfast before driving back to Gangtok.
This is standard for Sikkim circuit trips — you stay in Gangtok on the way in (to acclimatize and do the Tsomgo Lake excursion), then again on the way back from Lachung before heading to Pelling, since Gangtok is the natural stopover point between North Sikkim and West Sikkim. It's not a booking error, though you will pack and unpack twice.
