Tour Overview
Mystic Lanka is a 5-night, 6-day journey through Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Bentota, Galle, Hikkaduwa and Colombo, combining hill-country scenery, cultural sights, wildlife experiences and beach time in one easy-going route.
The trip begins with a transfer from Colombo to Kandy, stopping at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage on the way. With two nights in Kandy, there is time to settle in before heading out on a full-day excursion to Nuwara Eliya, where cooler weather, tea-covered hills and colonial-era surroundings create a very different side of Sri Lanka. Highlights include Hakgala Botanical Garden, Gregory Lake, Victoria Park and a working Ceylon tea factory.
From the hills, the journey moves towards Bentota for two nights on the coast. On the way, enjoy a Madu River boat safari through mangroves and small islands, followed by a visit to a local sea turtle conservation project. Bentota gives the trip a slower pace after the sightseeing-heavy days in the hill country.
A full-day excursion from Bentota takes you further south to Galle and Hikkaduwa. Explore the historic Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its Dutch-colonial architecture, visit the Galle National Museum, and spend time along the coast at Hikkaduwa, where coral reefs, beach cafés and water activities add to the experience.
The final leg takes you to Colombo for a city tour covering Independence Square, Galle Face Green, Viharamahadevi Park, the World Trade Centre Towers and the Old Parliament Building before your departure the next morning.
With hotel stays, private road transfers, selected meals and planned sightseeing, Mystic Lanka works well for travellers who want to experience Sri Lanka’s hills, heritage and southern coast in a compact itinerary without changing hotels every day.

It is about 90km from Colombo and after you have fun playing with the elephants, we’ll head to Kandy to the hotel. We’ll check-in and let you rest for the night in Kandy.

- • Please make sure that the passport of all guests travelling is valid for at least 6 months from the date of travel.
- • We can only facilitate the visa application for the travelling passengers. Granting of visa is solely at the discretion of Embassy. If visa is rejected or delayed by the Embassy for any reason then we are not liable to give any refund and respective cancellation policies will apply.
Airline seats and hotel rooms are subject to availability at the time of confirmation. Seat selection and room allocation (including room number, floor, view, and proximity of rooms) are determined by the airline/hotel and cannot be guaranteed.In case of unavailability in the listed hotels, arrangement for an alternate accommodation will be made in a hotel of similar standard.
The price does not include any personal or incidental expenses, including laundry, room service, minibar charges, beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), tips, portage, and similar services.
If your stay falls on special dates (like 24th December, 31st December, 14th February, etc.) when hotel organize gala dinner, then there may be mandatory Gala Dinner Charges additional that you need to pay at the hotel directly.
