Tour Overview
Welcome to an exciting adventure through the breathtaking Himalayan Ranges in Sikkim! Over the course of a week, we'll explore some of the most captivating cities in the region, including Gangtok, Pelling, and Darjeeling. Our tour will take you on a journey through a multitude of awe-inspiring sights, from vibrant marketplaces and restaurants to ancient temples, picturesque valleys, and magnificent mountain peaks. Our journey begins in Gangtok, where we'll wander through the lively MG Road and immerse ourselves in the local culture, sampling delicious street food and picking up souvenirs. We'll then make our way to the stunning Tsomgo Lake, surrounded by majestic mountains and home to a diverse array of wildlife. Our visit will include a stop at the Baba Harbhajan Mandir, a revered temple dedicated to a brave Indian soldier. Next, we'll journey to Pelling, where we'll marvel at the Char Dham Temple, a vast complex featuring replicas of some of India's most famous temples and statues. We'll then head to the Samdruptse Statue, a towering monument to the revered Sikkim patron, Saint Guru Padmasambhava. Our tour will also take us to the Darap Valley, where we'll bask in the lush beauty of the forested Pelling Hill. Our adventure continues with a trip to the Khecheopalri Lake, a sacred freshwater lake that's considered a holy site by the locals. We'll then visit the Rabdentse Ruins, an important historical site that was once the capital of the Kingdom of Sikkim. The Pema Yangtse Monastery is another must-see destination, where we'll witness the anointing of Chogyals of Sikkim monarchs. In Darjeeling, we'll start our exploration with a ride on the Batasia Loop, a spiralling railway that leads to the War Memorial. We'll then visit the Ghoom Monastery, one of the oldest and most revered Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in the region. Our tour will also take us to the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, home to a wide variety of rare and endangered species, including Siberian tigers and snow leopards. The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute is another fascinating stop, followed by a visit to the Tenzing Rock, where rock climbers come to train. We'll end our journey with a visit to the glimmering Peace Pagoda, a stunning monument to world peace, before stopping for photos at the beautiful Chitrey Tea Garden. Finally, we'll explore the bustling marketplaces and restaurants of MG Road in Darjeeling, where you can find all the souvenirs and local treats your heart desires. Important Information
- • Vehicle as mentioned in the booking will be provided. Extra charges will be applicable if additional vehicle or upgraded vehicle is required due to travellers carrying extra or oversized luggage.
- • Vehicle is available for use only till 8 pm ( as per itinerary); for North East India, Vehicle is available only till 4 pm (as per itinerary). Vehicle being kept till late hours will be subject to night charges as applicable and payable directly on ground.
- • Tiger hill visit is subjected to availability of coupons as only 300 vehicles are allowed in the morning. Uncase of non-availability of coupons, we will provide the sightseeing at 10:00 am after breakfast.
- • While traveling to Tshangu Lake, Nathula Pass, Baba Mandir customers should carry valid photo ID proof which can ONLY be one of Driving License, Voter Card or Valid Passport.
- • NRI, OCI, PIO Card holder & Foreign Nationals are not allowed to visit Baba Mandir & Nathula Pass. They are allowed to visit till Tshangu Lake, with a valid permit. They also have to be 2 years & above is number to visit Tshangu Lake.
- • Pan Card & Aadhar Card is not accepted as ID Proof to visit Nathula Pass, Tshangu Lake and Baba Mandir. The Photo ID Proof can be anyone of the following, Driving License, Voter Card, Valid Passport.
- • Most of the 2 star and 3 star hotels provide only Mattress not Extra bed.
- • At times due to events which are beyond control (e.g. local strikes, natural calamities), schedules and itineraries may be subject to last minute changes.
- • Telephone / Internet networks are non-existent in some areas.
- • Due to poor road infrastructure in North-east, journey between 2 places may take longer than expected. Top speed may be restricted to 30 km/hr at some places.
- • NRI, OCI, PIO Card holder & Foreign Nationals will be allowed to visit Lachung, Yumthang & Yumesamdong, with a valid permit.
- • It is not advisable to visit Lachen from 1st January till 15th March as roads are closed due to snow.
- • Cars is not at disposal and will be only available for point to point transfers as per itinerary
- • Driving in hilly areas which are different from normal driving, speed limit would be 30 kms per hour.
- • Vehicles in Hill Areas – Even if you opt for AC vehicle, in hill stations AC is non-operational to avoid damage or mid-trip break down of the vehicle for your own convenience. Also, in several hill areas, commercial vehicles are not allowed to play music to prevent accidents
- • All entrance tickets to Museums , Monastries, Gardens, or any other Sightseeing spots are to be borne by the Customer and paid directly at the destination.
- • In case of road blocks, the vehicle may need to take an alternate route to get you to your destination. This will be subject to additional charges as applicable and payable directly on ground.
- • For Extra Person Sharing the Room & Child with Extra Bed, almost all the hotel of our area provides MATTRESS and ROLL OVERS as a supplement to Extra Bed.
- • The vehicle used will not be at disposal and will be exclusively used for the group as per the itinerary only (on point to point basis). It will change sector wise.
- • Credit cards / travellers checks are not freely accepted in North-east.
- • The AC will be on when the car is on move only. While travelling in the plains the clients would need AC, which will be switch on. When the car is travelling uphill AC will be switched off.
- • Most of the hotels do not have lift. You will have to climb stairs to reach your allotted rooms. Incase any of you, have problems with blood pressure, breathing, knee & heart or if you cannot climb the higher floors, you should report
- • Most hotels in north-east are very basic and may not be equivalent to similar star category hotels elsewhere in India.
- • As the vehicles & drivers change always, we will request you to be very careful with personal belongings. Once left in the vehicle, there is, almost nil or little chance, of getting it back.

NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra (IXB) Airport. Bagdogra to Gangtok is approximately 125 km, a 4–5 hour drive.
Private vehicle (Xylo or Innova) for all transfers and sightseeing, on a point-to-point basis. Note: the vehicle is not at your disposal for open use it's provided only for the specific transfers and sightseeing listed in the itinerary, and it changes from sector to sector.
Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft, ~43 km from Gangtok) and New Baba Mandir (13,100 ft, ~16 km from Tsomgo Lake), dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh. Full-day excursion, about 7 hours.
