Prestige Pearl Tour
Tour Overview
Prestige Pearl Tour is a 7-night, 8-day journey through Negombo, Dambulla, Trincomalee, Kandy and Colombo, combining Sri Lanka’s cultural landmarks, wildlife, coastal scenery and city experiences. A key highlight of the itinerary is the Sri Lanka East Coast Adventure through Trincomalee, giving travellers a chance to experience a different side of the island beyond the usual southern and central routes.
The trip begins with a transfer from Colombo to Negombo, stopping at the Manavari and Muneshwaram temples in Chilaw, both associated with the Ramayana legend. From Negombo, continue to Dambulla with a stop at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage before visiting the famous Dambulla Cave Temple, known for its centuries-old Buddhist paintings and impressive collection of Buddha statues.
Your stay in Dambulla also includes a visit to Minneriya National Park, one of the country’s best-known wildlife areas. Depending on the season, the park offers opportunities to see elephants, deer, buffalo, crocodiles, monkeys and a wide variety of birds in their natural surroundings.
The route then heads towards Trincomalee, bringing the east coast into the journey. Known for clear blue waters, beaches such as Nilaveli and Uppuveli, and whale-watching opportunities, Trincomalee adds a refreshing coastal experience to the itinerary. A visit to Koneswaram Temple on Swami Rock adds both cultural significance and beautiful sea views.
From Trincomalee, travel towards Kandy via Sigiriya, where you can explore the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its ancient ruins, frescoes and dramatic rock setting.
The final part of the journey takes you to Colombo for two nights. Explore landmarks such as Galle Face Green, Colombo National Museum, Galle Face Hotel and Colombo Fort before heading to the airport for departure.
With comfortable stays, private transfers, selected meals and sightseeing, Prestige Pearl Tour offers a well-balanced way to experience Sri Lanka’s temples, wildlife, heritage sites, east coast beaches and capital city in one memorable 8-day journey.

Frequently Asked Questions
As currently written, yes. Day 2 includes a full visit to Dambulla Golden Rock Cave Temple, and Day 5 — while transferring from Trincomalee to Kandy — includes the same visit again, with identical description text. This looks like a planning duplication rather than an intentional second stop. Confirm with your advisor which day actually includes this visit before booking.
Trincomalee is one of Sri Lanka's known whale-watching areas, along with beaches like Nilaveli, Uppuveli, and Pigeon Island. This package doesn't include a dedicated whale-watching excursion — the Day 4 stop there focuses on the Koneswaram Temple. Ask your advisor if whale watching can be added, since it's usually a separate paid activity with its own seasonal timing.
No, it's USD 10 per person, paid directly, as part of the Day 2 transfer from Negombo to Dambulla.
Not particularly — unlike itineraries that include Nuwara Eliya, this route stays at lower elevations throughout (Negombo, Dambulla, Trincomalee, Kandy, Colombo), so you shouldn't need heavy warm clothing at any point.
Most rooms have direct ocean views, but there's no direct beach access — it's across a busy main road from the beach.
Sri Lankan Rupees for tuk-tuks and small vendors; hotels and city restaurants generally accept cards. Entrance fees for Pinnawala, Dambulla, and Minneriya are usually paid in cash or USD directly at the site.
